Inspecting the compliance with the Trade Union Charter and financial management at grassroots trade unions

Cao Bang - The Provincial Labor Federation has just inspected the compliance with the Trade Union Charter and financial management at 3 grassroots trade unions.

On July 15, the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation informed that on July 8-10, the inspection team of the Inspection Committee of the Cao Bang Provincial Labor Federation inspected the compliance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the management and use of trade union finances at 3 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS).

The 3 units inspected include: Grassroots Trade Union of Cao Bang Construction Design and Survey Joint Stock Company, Nga Hai Co., Ltd. and Cao Bang General Trading Joint Stock Company.

Through inspection, grassroots trade unions basically well implemented the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, promptly deployed directing documents of higher-level trade unions, and effectively implemented the work of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

Many practical activities such as "Trade Union Meals", visiting union members in difficult circumstances, giving gifts on holidays and Tet, organizing sightseeing and resorts, and activities for union members' children have been implemented, contributing to improving spiritual life and building harmonious labor relations.

The inspection team highly appreciated the grassroots Trade Union of Cao Bang Construction Design and Survey Joint Stock Company and Cao Bang General Trading Joint Stock Company in coordinating with businesses to organize employee conferences and effectively implement collective labor agreements.

Besides the achieved results, the Delegation also pointed out some limitations such as the grassroots Trade Union of Nga Hai Co., Ltd. not organizing periodic dialogues as prescribed, some dossiers, documents and archival work are not complete and scientific.

The delegation requested units to urgently overcome shortcomings, continue to improve the quality of trade union activities, and strictly implement regulations on Trade Union Charters and trade union financial management.
