Ms. Dao Thi Ha Ny - Chairwoman of Tien Thanh Ward Union (Lam Dong Province) said that the unit currently has 18 grassroots unions with 1,553 union members.
After 2 months of operating under the new model, the Ward Union has promoted its effectiveness, becoming a bridge connecting union members and workers with local authorities.
Tien Thanh Ward Trade Union has closely coordinated with the government in many practical activities. This includes supporting people to carry out administrative procedures online, implementing environmental protection movements, building "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Safe" residential areas.
According to Ms. Ny, in recent times, union members and employees in the company have always actively participated in maintaining environmental sanitation, contributing to making the Tien Thanh ward coast more attractive to tourists.
Social security work is also focused on. The ward union has supported 160 union members and people in difficult circumstances with a total value of 42 million VND; coordinated with the ward Fatherland Front to give 130 gifts worth nearly 38 million VND to people in difficulty.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2), the unit organized a gift giving ceremony for policy families, and at the same time, together with union officials, presented gifts from the Party and State to 270 households with more than 900 people.
Another highlight is that grassroots trade unions have maintained the organization of "Union Meals", birthdays for union members, creating a cozy space, solidarity and encouraging the spirit of workers.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - affirmed: "Tien Thanh Ward Labor Union has accompanied the government, taking good care of union members and workers; is truly a solid support, contributing to building a great solidarity bloc and developing the local socio-economy".
