On May 9, at Hoa Hiep Industrial Park (IP), Dong Hoa Town, the Economic Zone Trade Union (KKT) of Phu Yen province coordinated with the Provincial KKT Management Board to launch a campaign in response to Workers' Month - Labor Safety and Hygiene Month (OSH) in 2025.
The launching ceremony was attended by leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Department of Home Affairs, representatives of enterprises and nearly 250 workers working in the industrial park.
At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Phu Yen Economic Zone Trade Union called on employers and grassroots trade unions to organize appropriate response activities.
In particular, promoting propaganda, improving working conditions for employees, building a spirit of working to overcome difficulties and be creative in workers and enterprises to flexibly adapt to the new development context.
Trade unions, enterprises and workers increase risk identification and proactively take measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Trade Union of Phu Yen Economic Zone presented 65 support gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, each worth VND500,000. Of which, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Lao Dong supported 20 gifts, to encourage union members, workers with serious illnesses, main workers raising young children...
The legal consultation program was also coordinated by the Trade Union at Hoa Hiep Industrial Park to attract the attention of many workers. Many questions of workers related to their rights, insurance regimes, labor safety and retirement regulations are directly consulted by professional staff.
The 2025 Workers' Sports Festival was also opened by the Phu Yen Economic Zone Trade Union on May 9, with the enthusiastic participation of nearly 100 union members from grassroots trade unions in the industrial park. Athletes compete in fun competitions such as: tug of war, stick pushing, jumping recklessly, slow bicycles and water passing.
On the evening of May 9, the KKT Trade Union of Phu Yen province organized a karaoke singing contest with the participation of many workers and civil servants, creating a joyful and cohesive atmosphere for the workers' festival.
Activities create a useful and practical playground for workers, reducing stress at the workplace, especially workers who are directly producing in enterprises and industrial parks in the province.
