On June 5, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in Workers' Month 2026, activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers are effectively implemented by trade union levels in the area.
Trade union levels have organized visits and gifts for 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, and injured in labor accidents with a total budget of 400 million VND.
From the Social Fund of the Provincial Labor Federation, the unit has supported 6 union members in particularly difficult circumstances, who suffered labor accidents, each gift worth 2 million VND. At the same time, organized visits and encouragement for union members and workers at grassroots trade unions.
The program to support the construction and repair of "Trade Union Shelter" houses continues to be promoted. On this occasion, 16 union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances were supported to build and repair houses with a total budget of 650 million VND.
In order to increase resources to care for union members, the Provincial Labor Federation has mobilized union members and workers to contribute to building the Social Fund in 2026 with a level of 50,000 VND/person.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation is implementing a cooperation agreement with Medlatec Vietnam Company on health check-ups and cancer screening for union members. According to the plan, in Workers' Month 2026, cancer check-ups and screening will be organized for 1,200 union members.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation has also signed a coordination regulation with the Provincial Social Insurance to strengthen coordination in implementing policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Thereby contributing to ensuring long-term social security, while performing well the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
