My Tu commune (Can Tho City) is a purely agricultural locality, people's lives are still difficult, rural infrastructure is not synchronized, especially the traffic bridge system is still limited, affecting people's travel, production and daily life.
Faced with that reality, in the past time, the work of mobilizing socialization to build rural traffic bridges in the area has been actively implemented, gradually bringing practical efficiency. This result has the participation of the entire political system, in which the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the commune plays a core role in advising, mobilizing and connecting resources, with the direct direction of Mr. Ngo Thanh Phuc - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the VFF Committee of the commune.

Sharing about how to do it, Mr. Phuc said that the commune Fatherland Front collective determined that infrastructure development must be based on the strength of national unity and effective mobilization of social resources.
To mobilize for results, we must promote the role of the entire political system and the participation of the people. When all information is made public and transparent, people and sponsors will trust and accompany us," Mr. Phuc said.

From that approach, many organizations, individuals, religious establishments and philanthropists inside and outside the locality have actively participated in contributing; people have also agreed, contributed labor and effort to implement the projects. From July 2025 to now, the whole commune has mobilized to build 11 rural traffic bridges with a total cost of more than 4 billion VND; of which 9 bridges have been completed and put into use, and the remaining 2 bridges are continuing to be constructed. The projects contribute to connecting rural traffic routes in the commune, creating favorable conditions for people to travel, students to go to school, and transport goods. Thereby promoting household economic development, gradually completing infrastructure and creating clear changes in people's lives.
Not only stopping at mobilizing resources, Mr. Phuc also directly participates with people in pouring concrete for the bridge deck, regularly encouraging people to contribute working days to complete and put the project into use soon. Every inauguration occasion, he also mobilizes gifts for people, contributing to creating more joy and cohesion in the community.
The important thing is to maintain the trust of the people and philanthropists. When there is trust, mobilizing resources for community projects will be more sustainable," Mr. Phuc shared.

Mr. Phuc said that in parallel with infrastructure development, social security work is also regularly concerned and implemented. Through socialization mobilization, the locality has built and repaired 83 houses for near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and policy families with a total budget of 4.98 billion VND; organized the presentation of more than 4,400 gifts worth over 1.3 billion VND; promptly supported difficult cases and those affected by natural disasters.
People-to-people diplomacy is emphasized, contributing to connecting resources from overseas Vietnamese and organizations and individuals outside the locality. Through mobilization, the locality has received 200 million VND from philanthropists abroad to build rural traffic bridges; many practical gifts have also been given to people in difficult circumstances.

The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized cities" is being implemented synchronously with many specific tasks. Activities such as the "Great National Unity Festival" are being organized widely, creating a solidarity atmosphere in the residential community.
Many self-management models continue to be maintained and replicated such as "bright - green - clean - beautiful residential areas", "security cameras", "lighting up rural roads", "reporting crimes via Zalo"... contributing to improving the quality of life and maintaining security and order. All are implemented according to the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit".
