On November 4, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy chaired a meeting and gave his opinion on the content of preparations to organize the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Quang Tri province, term 2025 - 2030.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress aims to promote the tradition of patriotism, the strength of great national unity, the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; innovation, creativity, digital transformation; contributing to building Quang Tri province to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era.
The Congress set out 5 general goals, 10 specific targets and 2 breakthrough tasks: Strengthening digital transformation in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system associated with innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; enhancing political and spiritual consensus among the people; associated with building a united, democratic, prosperous, safe and happy residential area.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy expressed his deep condolences to the people in Quang Tri province when they were affected by floodwaters, causing many damages to people, property, and crops; at the same time, he hoped that the Party Committee and the provincial government would continue to closely monitor weather developments, review high-risk areas to promptly evacuate people, overcome the consequences of floods, and minimize damage to people and property.
Agreeing with the draft contents of the Congress Documents of Quang Tri province, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy suggested that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province continue to study and absorb the opinions of departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the opinions at the meeting to complete the Document, ensuring the successful organization of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Tri province, term 2025 - 2030 and the Front Congress is truly a festival of the people in the whole province.
According to Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy, the Political Report needs to supplement outstanding results for a number of action programs bearing the mark of the term; study and concretize 4 Strategic Resolutions of the Politburo.
The action programs need to supplement the core guiding contents in the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the first Congress of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations with 3 guiding viewpoints and 6 focuses; at the same time, specify and organize the implementation of the Plan of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to implement the speech in accordance with local realities.
Regarding the personnel plan submitted to the congress, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy suggested that it is necessary to continue to adjust to ensure harmony between the rates of committee members who are outstanding people, experts, scientists, businessmen, non-party people, leaders of departments, branches, and full-time staff of the departments and units of the Quang Tri Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
Also on November 4, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy chaired a meeting and gave opinions on the content of preparations to organize the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, term 2025 - 2030.
Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy also shared the difficulties that Nghe An province has been experiencing when suffering from storms overlapping storms and floods in recent days; at the same time, he hoped that with his determination, the Party Committee, government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province will continue to do a good job of preventing and fighting floods, providing timely relief and overcoming the consequences for the people to soon stabilize their lives.
Appreciating the preparation of the draft political report to submit to the Congress, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy suggested that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee accept the opinions of delegates attending the meeting to continue to supplement and perfect the contents to suit local realities. In particular, it is necessary to study the draft Political Report submitted to the 1st National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031 with many new contents according to the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and General Secretary To Lam; Plan to implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, term 2025 - 2030 to include in the draft Political Report of the province.
Along with that, it is necessary to review and supplement outstanding results for a number of action programs; Research and concretize the strategic resolutions of the Politburo, focus on developing science and technology, innovation, building a digital society; promote digital transformation in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system, organize social dialogues; organize "People's Month of Speech" well; Strengthen monitoring and social criticism activities on the quality of scientific research, technology, and innovation. Promote the exploitation, sharing, and implementation of 24/7 reception of People's petitions on the "Digital Front Portal". Add a number of breakthrough targets and solutions in implementing the Resolution of the new Congress term.
