On July 23, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi had a working session with Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company to grasp the production and business situation and listen to the difficulties and problems that need to be resolved during operation.
At the meeting, Mr. Ngo Van Sy - Director of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company - said that in the first 7 months of 2025, the company's electricity output reached over 9.2 billion kWh, equal to 117% over the same period in 2024.
Power production revenue reached more than VND 15,455 billion. The company has also paid the State budget more than 422 billion VND.
In addition to production results, the Company also has a number of recommendations for Vinh Long province such as: ash consumption still depends heavily on the market and local infrastructure planning; supporting procedures for leasing raw water pipeline land and handing over sea areas to serve the items of seaports, water pipes, and boat spinning muds of Duyen Hai Power Center.
At the same time, the company also proposed a mechanism to encourage localities to prioritize the use of fly ash and factory bottom slag in construction works.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the company in the past time, especially in ensuring stable production, paying the budget and actively participating in social security work with a total amount of over 2 billion VND.
Mr. Ngoi suggested that the company continue to promote its internal resources, striving to complete the target of 19,616 million kWh of electricity generation in 2025 according to the plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
"On the local side, the Provincial People's Committee is committed to accompanying and directing specialized agencies to coordinate, promptly remove difficulties, and create favorable conditions for the company to develop sustainably," emphasized the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
