On the morning of August 20, in Hanoi, the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2025-2030 term officially opened with the participation of 200 delegates representing more than 500 Party members of 15 Party organizations under the Party Committee of the VFF.

In his opening speech, on behalf of the Congress Presidium, Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee respectfully sent to delegates, distinguished guests and the entire Congress his respectful greetings, warm affection, health wishes, happiness, and best wishes for the Congress's success.
In this solemn moment, with endless pride and respect, the Congress respectfully commemorated the merits of the great President Ho Chi Minh, the talented leader of our Party and people, the founder and practitioner of our Party, the national liberation hero, and the world cultural celebrity. His great ideology, along with Marxism - Ninism, is the foundation of ideology, forever the beacon of light for our revolutionary cause. We engrave the noble sacrifices of heroic martyrs, the great contributions of war invalids, sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the revolution so that our country can bloom independently and produce free fruits like today, said comrade Do Van Chien.
Affirming that the Congress is of special significance, marking a new step in the development of the Party Committee in terms of scale and nature of activities, comrade Do Van Chien emphasized that the Congress is even more meaningful when taking place at a time when the entire Party, people and army are enthusiastically competing to achieve excellent results to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, the Congress is responsible for summarizing and evaluating comprehensively, synchronously, objectively and deeply the results of implementing the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term; correctly assessing the advantages, limitations, and shortcomings, clearly identifying objective and subjective causes, thereby drawing lessons in leadership and direction; at the same time, identifying the orientation, targets, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term to build a clean and strong Party Committee of the Agency; leading the excellent completion of political tasks, contributing to strengthening the national solidarity bloc, building a solid people's heart, strengthening the close relationship of the Party for the people and the people to trust the Party.
The Congress is also responsible for reviewing the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; Discussing and giving opinions on draft documents submitted to the Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations and documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
With the theme "Improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations; improving the effectiveness of political tasks; promoting the strength of solidarity, unity, unity, innovation and creativity; building a clean and strong Party Committee, contributing to bringing the country into the new era of the Vietnamese people"; With the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", comrade Do Van Chien believes that the Congress will converge in intelligence, unify will and action, strongly arouse the spirit of innovation, improve the capacity and fighting strength of the Party, and successfully complete the political tasks of the Party Committee of the agency in the new situation.
