Many overseas Vietnamese are listed on the world intellectual map
On the morning of February 8, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a meeting to honor typical collectives and individuals of overseas Vietnamese in 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent to the people and through the people to all our compatriots living, studying and working abroad sincere greetings and New Year wishes of health, happiness and success.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that the achievements in 2025 are proof of the leadership role and prestige of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and at the same time show the belief, joint efforts, consensus, and strong support of people at home and abroad, including the Vietnamese community abroad.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her joy and emotion when seeing the Vietnamese community abroad increasingly developing, increasing in number, diverse in composition, and strong in potential. Many people have succeeded, affirmed their position in society, even in the local political arena, and many people have been listed on the world intellectual map.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her emotion when knowing that although life in a foreign land is still difficult and hard, overseas Vietnamese still always promote the good traditions of Vietnamese people, preserve national cultural identity, support and help each other develop with the spirit of mutual affection and love, becoming an important bridge of friendship between Vietnam and world friends; connecting feelings towards the homeland and country. The contributions in terms of knowledge, economy and management experience of overseas Vietnamese to the process of building and developing the country are very commendable.
In the widespread consultation of all people at home and abroad on the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th Party Congress, communities from all continents contributed over 2,300 heartfelt opinions, showing the spirit of responsibility, belief and expectation of people for the correct and breakthrough policies of the Party and State. The recent 14th Party Congress also received more than 400 congratulatory letters and telegrams from Vietnamese individuals and organizations abroad. These impressive figures have shown the spirit of encouragement and motivation towards the Party and State, vividly reflecting the attachment and companionship with the Fatherland of compatriots abroad.
In addition, through reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her impression with the record high amount of remittances, becoming a huge material resource, making practical contributions to the country's development; moved by the gifts of support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and difficulties in life that our compatriots abroad give to compatriots in the country.
Recognizing and appreciating the valuable contributions of overseas Vietnamese
According to Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, our Party and State always pay special attention and care to our compatriots abroad. The Party and State's policy consistently affirms that "The Vietnamese community abroad is an inseparable and flesh and blood part, an important resource of the Vietnamese ethnic community".
Realizing the Party's guidelines, specific policies related to overseas Vietnamese are being implemented more comprehensively and strongly, clearly showing the feelings and responsibilities of the Party and State through better and better meeting the aspirations and legitimate expectations of our community abroad. Many legal documents have been issued in the direction of creating more favorable conditions for people when returning home to live, work, study, and research...
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that through the periods, the Front always has special affection and respect for the role, voice and valuable contributions of overseas Vietnamese.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people, gathering and promoting the strength of the great national unity, has chaired many meetings, exchanged information, and grasped the thoughts and aspirations of Vietnamese people at home and abroad.
The Front has organized many working delegations abroad, directly contacting people; sending delegates to participate in activities organized by associations and organizations of Vietnamese people abroad... The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front selected typical overseas Vietnamese in key areas, in countries with a large number of Vietnamese people to participate in the Presidium, participate as members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This is the core force, representing the overseas Vietnamese community to regularly reflect and inform about the community's activities to relevant domestic agencies, bringing the voice of the entire community to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, is the home of great solidarity, is the place to send the thoughts and aspirations of people to the Party and State.
In addition, the Fatherland Front regularly encourages and rewards individuals and collectives of overseas Vietnamese, expressing recognition and high appreciation for the valuable contributions of the people to the community and the country.
In the coming time, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will urgently implement Resolution XIV of the Party with specific tasks, solutions, programs, and plans to promote the strength of great national unity.
I believe and hope that overseas Vietnamese across five continents will continue to look towards the Fatherland, connect and actively contribute to building the great national unity bloc, contributing to building our country rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy," Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that, speaking at the opening session of the 14th National Congress of the Party, General Secretary To Lam affirmed the consistent ideology in the document - which is also the root of the strength of the Vietnamese revolution - is "The people are the root". The people are the center, the subject, the goal, the driving force and the resource of development.
Our Party and State always care for and care for the Vietnamese community abroad and I believe that compatriots across five continents will always look towards the Fatherland with steadfast feelings, strong belief and support, along with companionship on the path of the new era," the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the Party, State and Fatherland Front wish to continue to receive practical, correct, and breakthrough proposals and initiatives from overseas Vietnamese to unlock and strongly promote the very large resources of our community abroad in all fields, especially key fields such as science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, knowledge economy, digital economy, green economy and circular economy, making effective contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, towards the goal of our country becoming a developed country with high income by 2045.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to continue to promote the positive results achieved, and to implement more drastically the work of supporting and caring for the community abroad, on the one hand, meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people, and on the other hand, creating motivation for the people to continue to make effective contributions to the cause of building and developing the country.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies to continue to implement many activities to contact, exchange information, grasp the thoughts and aspirations, support the Vietnamese community abroad, and receive and study the recommendations of the people to the country...
Recording the opinions of the delegates, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that regarding the development of technology, science, innovation, creativity and digital transformation, the Politburo has issued Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. This Resolution is the political basis, and continues to be institutionalized by legal documents so that scientific technology, digital transformation, and innovation will be the main driving force for the country's development...
