On the morning of October 29, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) organized the Patriotic Emulation Congress for the period 2025 - 2030.
Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central Trade Unions, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council gave a speech at the congress.
Mr. Do Van Chien recalled President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must compete, those who compete are the most patriotic".
Mr. Do Van Chien said that, imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings, over the past 5 years, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has advised, proposed and proactively organized the launch of extensive patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns in response to the campaigns of the Party, State, Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Do Van Chien highlighted the contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the national movement of solidarity, united efforts to prevent and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic. The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, member organizations, under the leadership of the Party, have closely coordinated with the government, strongly arousing the strength of the great national unity bloc, mobilizing people to strictly comply with regulations on quarantine, vaccination, mutual assistance, and mutual assistance, overcoming unprecedented days of fierce competition.
In addition, as a result of the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the whole country has completed 334,000 houses, basically completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
Mr. Do Van Chien also emphasized that 2020 - 2025 is the period when the Vietnam Fatherland Front has raised the level of relief work to a new level, more strict, public, transparent and effective, thereby regaining the trust and prestige of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social mobilization and relief work and charity.
In addition, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has deployed and implemented Resolution 18-NQ/TW well, thereby implementing the building of a new organizational model of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
Mr. Do Van Chien hopes that in the coming time, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front must truly attach importance to emulation, reward, and organization of emulation movements closely linked to the implementation of the political tasks of the agency and unit.
Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized that our country is entering a new era to build a prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy country, in the context of operating a new organizational model, deeply grasping the guiding ideology of General Secretary To Lam: The new organizational model must have new thinking, new ways of doing things, new results. This raises the need for the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to organize patriotic emulation movements in the coming time to also be truly innovative.
Accordingly, it is necessary to highly unify emulation and reward work associated with the implementation of political tasks of agencies and units, placed under the leadership of the Party Committee, with the head of the agency responsible for launching and implementing.
Emulation must go hand in hand with commendation and reward; evaluate the effectiveness of emulation through the completion of political tasks of each individual and unit.
Mr. Do Van Chien noted that we must thoroughly grasp and better implement Directive 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation; emulation movements must have practical content and forms, closely following the political tasks of agencies and organizations; avoiding formality.
"Along with that, it is necessary to build a strategy for great national unity. The tradition of the front is great solidarity; the strength of the front is the strength of the people's heart, so we must elevate the strategy of great solidarity of the Vietnamese people in the new era to a new height," Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that it is necessary to implement the People's Forum, with a theme each year, a theme for each socio-political organization; at the same time, it is necessary to innovate, improve the qualifications and capacity to perform public duties, and innovate the thinking of the team working in emulation and reward work.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Head of the agency, Mr. Do Van Chien called on all Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations in the system to deeply grasp the viewpoints and policies of the Party, the direction of superiors, and the agency, and compete to excellently complete their political tasks, contributing their efforts to major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by the Party, State, and Government.
