On the morning of September 16, the Women's Union of Bac Gianh ward coordinated with the Border Guard Station of Gianh Port to organize the signing and implementation of the Accompanying Border Women Program for the period 2026-2030.
On this occasion, the two units also handed over the project "Iron pipe flag - Green trash can" and provided support in the "Parental Career - Raising children to school" Program for the 2026-2029 period.
The program aims to strengthen coordination between the Women's Union of Bac Gianh Ward and the Border Guard Station of Gianh Port in caring for women and children in difficult circumstances; supporting livelihoods and improving lives.
The two units also coordinated to propagate and mobilize people to participate in maintaining security and order in the area, while strengthening the military-civilian solidarity relationship.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan - Secretary of the Party Committee of Bac Gianh Ward acknowledged the coordination between the two units.
Ms. Lan suggested that the program implementation process should closely follow reality, be aimed at the right people, and at the same time focus on mobilizing social resources to care for women and children in difficult circumstances.
At the program, the Women's Union of Bac Gianh Ward and the Border Guard Station of Gianh Port signed an agreement to implement the "Accompanying Border Women" Program for the period 2026-2030.
Through the authorization of the Provincial Women's Union and the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Development Support Fund, the Organizing Committee awarded sponsorship funds to 1 student in Quang Phuc residential group with a level of 3 million VND/quarter, with a total budget of 36 million VND over 3 years.
The Women's Union of Bac Gianh Ward and the Border Guard Station of Gianh Port Border Gate also presented 2 savings books and sponsorship funds to 2 students under the "Parental Career - Encouraging Children to Go to School" Program, with a total value of 9 million VND.
Also within the framework of the program, the project "Iron pipe flag - Green trash can" at My Hoa residential group was handed over and put into use.
The project has a total budget of 25 million VND, aiming to raise awareness of environmental protection and landscape construction in the area.
