On October 8, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - received 500 million VND donated by Nhan Dan Newspaper to contribute to supporting people in the provinces to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10.

Also attending the meeting was Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions.

Awarding 500 million VND to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - expressed his desire to share and accompany people affected by natural disasters in difficult times.

On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his deep gratitude to the staff, reporters, editors and workers of Nhan Dan Newspaper, each person wholeheartedly and practically supporting in a timely and practical manner so that people in the provinces have more resources to overcome the consequences of storms and floods; at the same time, emphasizing that shared hearts, whether material or spiritual, will be a valuable source of strength to help households overcome immediate difficulties and soon rebuild their lives. This is a testament to the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and the profound human tradition of the Vietnamese people.

Quying and effective relief work not only depends on the strong direction of the government but also requires the cooperation of all classes of people, including the important role of the press and the community. From the first donation that Nhan Dan Newspaper donated today, I hope that the next campaign programs will receive widespread participation from the whole society for the goal of helping people affected by storms and floods to quickly stabilize and rise up after natural disasters," said Mr. Do Van Chien.

Mr. Do Van Chien stated that, contributing more resources with the Party and State to support the people, in recent days, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, many agencies, organizations, individuals and enterprises have transferred donations through the received and directed support at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; at the same time, affirmed that the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, based on the damage situation in localities, will continue to allocate resources for localities to support people to stabilize housing and production as soon as possible.

To publicize and make donations transparent, in localities, information received by families will be posted at the village headquarters for the people to monitor together, Chairman Do Van Chien informed and said that this work will not only help people affected by the damage to soon stabilize their lives but also strengthen people's supervision of relief resource allocation activities.

On the same day, Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions - also received support from collectives and units. As of 5:00 p.m. on October 8, 2025, individuals, units, and organizations have registered to donate through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, which is nearly 799 billion VND.
