According to a report by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, from June 8-14, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province participated in many important political, social, supervisory and foreign affairs activities; and at the same time coordinated to organize the signing of a plan to promote the role of religions in participating in environmental protection and climate change response in the period 2026 - 2030.
During the week, the Office and specialized departments focused on advising on organizational and personnel work, inspection, social criticism and implementation of social security programs. Notably, the "For the Poor" Fund of the province has allocated 1.5 billion VND to support the construction of 22 gratitude houses and Great Solidarity houses for policy families, poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties.
The Trade Union Affairs Committee continued to promote organizational development, admitted 177 new union members, established 5 grassroots trade unions, and inspected the compliance with labor laws at enterprises. Trade union levels also organized many activities to care for workers with a total budget of over 993 million VND.
The Farmers' Association Working Committee directed the dissemination of many contents related to children's rights, issued 308 membership cards and appraised organic agricultural production projects from the Farmers Support Fund of more than 1.15 billion VND. The Youth Union and Children's Affairs Committee effectively implemented the "Exam Season Support" program in 2026, attracting a large number of union members and youth to participate.
The Women's Affairs Committee organized training to improve capacity for union officials, implemented the women's startup program, and handed over 2 shelters of gratitude to disadvantaged union members. The Veterans Affairs Committee focused on directing the development of good production and business models, and implementing drug prevention and fire prevention plans in the area.
In addition, the Youth and Children's Activities Center maintains summer talent classes, the "Military Summer" program, skills clubs and playgrounds for children, contributing to creating a healthy living and training environment in the summer of 2026.
