Completion of 264,000 houses
Chairman Do Van Chien affirmed that in the first 6 months of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) system at all levels has closely followed the 2025 work program and plan, proactively deployed synchronous solutions, striving to basically complete the 6 program contents that the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has determined.
Notably, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has gathered and encouraged businesses, all classes of people, and social classes to unite, seize favorable opportunities, overcome all difficulties, promote economic development, and contribute efforts to help our country achieve an economic growth rate of 7.52% in the first 6 months of the year.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, under the guidance of the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, the Presidium of the Central Committee (UBT Vu) of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has coordinated with the Government to successfully implement the program to Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, practically celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification and major holidays in 2025. To date, 18 provinces have completed and 16 more provinces will complete houses for meritorious people before July 27, 2025 and complete the entire program by August 31, 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
"From the budget and socialized resources of VND 17,802 billion, we have mobilized 113 thousand participants with over 1 million working days. To date, 264,000/274,000 houses have been completed, reaching 95.3%. This is a comprehensive, all-people campaign and when the Party's will and people's hearts are blended together, we have implemented it synchronously with the contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels," said Chairman Do Van Chien.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, since July 1, the apparatus has basically operated smoothly, without problems. For the first time in history, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee coordinated to prepare a draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; chaired a project to amend the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth, and the Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level.
For the first time, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations held a Conference to announce the Politburo's decision regulating the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. 10 key tasks
Referring to the key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025, Chairman Do Van Chien suggested that the members, delegates, and comrades in the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front continue to promote their spirit and responsibility, encourage businesses and people of all walks of life to strive to achieve the growth target of 8% in 2025; participate in preparing for the contents related to the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, with the first being the Party Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Trade Unions for the 2025-2030 term.
Along with that, implement Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW, dated April 12, 2025 of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to reorganize the apparatus of the political system and the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat; The Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution 18 issued Plan 56-KH/BCD on July 4, 2025 to continue perfecting the apparatus of the political system and preparing for Party Congresses at all levels. In which, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations are assigned 10 specific tasks:
The first is the decision to reorganize affiliated party organizations in socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and the State, in accordance with and synchronous with the model after the organization and rearrangement.
Second is to lead and direct the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and organizations to urgently implement training programs for union members, young people who are students majoring in information technology of universities, colleges, and youth volunteers on online public services, resolve administrative procedures, and support cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and people of communes, wards, and special zones, especially in remote areas and disadvantaged areas when operating the apparatus in the early stages of implementing the 2-level local government model.
Third is to advise, review, adjust and supplement the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of agencies and organizations under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Fourth is to preside over and coordinate with the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to guide the organization of Congresses of socio-political organizations, and mass organizations at the central level, ensuring practicality and economy after organizing the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Fifth is to lead and direct localities in implementing the arrangement of mass associations assigned by the Party and the State under the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the provincial and commune levels;
Sixth is to lead and direct the continued reorganization of mass associations assigned by the Party and the State to operate under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, following the instructions of reducing the number of associations, streamlining the internal apparatus, and operating practically and effectively.
Seventh is to lead and direct press agencies under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensure unified management, improve operational efficiency in the direction of maximum streamlining, reduce the number of press agencies and magazines, and only maintain units that are really necessary.
Eighth is to lead and direct the preparation for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and socio-political organizations at the central level after the National Party Congress and the election of National Assembly deputies.
Ninth is to lead, direct, organize training and coaching on the implementation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Charter, socio-political organizations, professional expertise, procedures, complete procedures on the organization of the Front, Trade Union, Veterans, women, youth, children... online.
The tenth is to lead and direct the work of propagating and mobilizing union members, association members and the masses to agree, unify, and be highly responsible for building the local political system. Implement the great national unity after implementing the arrangement of administrative units, arrangement and organization of units, apparatus, agencies, units, and political system associated with building local governments at 2 levels.
Emphasizing the clearly defined tasks, Chairman Do Van Chien hopes that the Presidium will spread the spirit of solidarity, unity and the will to reach the level so that all activities of the Front must aim at the goal of building "A strong country and a happy people".
