On the afternoon of August 28, the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Journalists Association, term 2026 - 2031, held the second session and announced the results of the 1st Conference of the 1st Executive Committee.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee of term I elected the Standing Committee consisting of 6 members and the Standing Committee consisting of 4 members. Mr. Van Cong Hung was re-elected as Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Journalists Association for the term 2026 - 2031.
The Vice Chairmen include Mr. Nguyen Van Phan, Nguyen Trong Tan and Tran Ba Thao. The Executive Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Journalists Association term I includes 14 members.
The Congress identified that during the term, it will focus on implementing 8 key task groups. In which, focus on innovating the content and methods of operation; consolidating the Association organization and grassroots branches; improving the quality of training and professional development; building a press culture environment and the social responsibility of journalists. Every year, the Association coordinates to organize the Dong Thap Provincial Press Award, mobilizing members to participate in regional, national and specialized press awards.
