Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) signed and issued Official Letter No. 226/MTTW-BTT on organizing a peak period of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Accordingly, practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Central Party Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, leaders of socio-political organizations issued a Plan to organize commemorative activities in the Front system and socio-political organizations.
At the same time as implementing the tasks according to the set plan, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front recommends that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities focus on directing and guiding the organization of a peak period of celebration activities at the grassroots and residential areas across the country.
Specifically, in terms of the purpose of requesting and organizing activities in residential areas to create an enthusiastic and exciting atmosphere, arousing patriotism, national pride and self-respect, solidarity, promoting patriotic emulation movements, grassroots campaigns, building a residential area "united, prosperous and happy".
The peak period of activities will be from August 10 to September 10, 2025.
Specific activities include: Propaganda and mobilization of households to simultaneously hang the national flag on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2; Organizing a general environmental cleaning campaign, preserving the landscape of residential areas, village roads, bright, green and clean alleys to celebrate the celebration; Organizing activities to visit, encourage and show gratitude to families with meritorious services to the country, families with exemplary policies in the area; organizing incense offering activities to commemorate heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution; Organizing activities, competitions, cultural, artistic and mass sports festivals to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere in residential areas. Commend, reward and express gratitude to collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the community.
Along with that, organize a seminar, review history, highlight the great significance of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, introduce the country's achievements in innovation, propose tasks and solutions to build "united, prosperous, and happy" residential areas (which can be held in each residential area, inter-residential area or at the commune level); Deploy activities to support and care for the lives of people, poor households, and vulnerable groups in society; focus on completing and organizing the handover and inauguration of social security works and solidarity houses, completing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households before August 31, 2025; launch a emulation movement to welcome Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Regarding implementation, for agencies in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system, the Social Work Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front shall preside over and coordinate with the Trade Union Working Committee, the Farmers' Working Committee, the Youth and Children's Working Committee, the Women's Working Committee, the Veterans Working Committee to monitor, urge, summarize the implementation results, and promptly report to the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of provinces and cities issued documents guiding the implementation to the commune and residential areas, noting to guide localities to propose support funding sources from the budget and from socialized sources; making plans and proposing to invite leaders of provinces, cities, communes, wards and special zones to participate in activities in typical residential areas; collecting and editing documents on the great historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 in conjunction with local reality.
