According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning (June 5), the tropical depression has moved out of the East Sea. At 7:00 AM, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 22.3 degrees north latitude; 120.3 degrees east longitude, on the southwest coast of Taiwan Island (China).
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 6 (39 - 49km/h), gusting at level 8; moving in the northeast direction at a speed of about 25km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, this tropical depression will continue to move northeast and is unlikely to move back to the East Sea.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression circulation on the morning of June 5, the northeastern sea area of the Northern East Sea has strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, waves 2 - 4m high; rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
Previously, the meteorological agency had forecast dangerous weather trends at sea in June. Accordingly, it is forecast that storms/tropical depressions are likely to appear in the East Sea area at a level equivalent to the average of many years in the same period. According to the average of many years, in June in the East Sea area there were 1.1 storms/tropical depressions and 0.3 storms made landfall in Vietnam.
