On April 15, the reporter presented in Chi Thao commune, Quang Hoa district (Cao Bang) recorded the top of the mountain was burned, all trees towards the top of the rocky mountain where the fire occurred with black charcoal. With the naked eye, it is easy to recognize the distinct difference between the two trees, at the foot of the mountain of green trees, the top of the mountain of trees has burned.
Mr. Hoang Van Long, a resident of Chi Thao commune, said: "The fire lasted all day, spread throughout the mountain range, causing significant damage. From the day the fire happened until now, everyone has to stop looking.

According to information from the People's Committee of Quang Hoa district, the fire started at 8:40 am on April 13 and until about 21h the same day was basically controlled. The original reason was determined by Mr. Ma Kien Giang, residing in Yen Lac hamlet (Chi Thao commune), burning elephant grass at Nuong near the foot of the mountain. Large winds and steep steep terrain, the crossbow dried vegetation have caused the fire to quickly spread to the 12th, sub -area 369 - a protective forest area with rugged terrain.
As soon as the fire occurred, the authorities of Chi Thao and Quang Hoa districts mobilized the total force with 245 people including police, soldiers, forest rangers, militia and self -defense people and local people to participate in fire fighting. The provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department also increased 8 officials and a fire truck to the scene.

Facing the difficult situation to access the scene directly due to the rugged terrain, the forces decided to open a 10m -wide fire -blocking runway at the mountain waist, about 450m from the fire point to prevent the fire from spreading.
According to preliminary reports, about 10 hectares of protection forests were burned down. A BTS station of VNPT located in the fire area is also affected, but it is not possible to accurately assess the extent of damage due to not accessible. Luckily, all forces participating in the fire fighting are safe.
The police of Chi Thao commune summoned Mr. Ma Kien Giang to take testimony, and continue to investigate and handle the case in accordance with the law.

Facing the increased risk of forest fires due to prolonged hot weather, Cao Bang People's Committee has issued a document to direct departments, branches and localities to strengthen measures to prevent forest fires. The forces are required to be on duty 24 hours in peak time, strengthen inspection of high -risk areas, especially planted forests and production forests.

People are absolutely recommended not to use fire in and along the forest, not burning, and processing food in the hot sun. Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee also emphasized that he will strictly handle violations of regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting.
