On June 17, a leader of the People's Committee of Ea tar commune, Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province said that the commune had coordinated with the District Forest Protection Department to hand over a reticulated python weighing about 21kg to the Center for Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue and Forest Protection Management of Dak Lak.
According to the People's Committee of Ea tar commune, at around 9:00 p.m. on June 14, the family of Ms. V.T.H (Koh village, Ea tar commune) discovered a crossboat grazed into a house to find and catch chickens.
Immediately afterwards, Ms. H's family surrounded and arrested the python and handed it over to the local authorities.

On June 16, the People's Committee of Ea tar commune in coordination with the Forest Protection Department of Cu M'gar district handed over this python to the Center for Elephant Conservation, Animal Rescue and Dak Lak Forest Protection Management for care, contributing to the conservation of rare animals.
The reticulatus is scientifically named Python reticulatus, classified as endangered and rare in group II B (a group of animals strictly prohibited from exploitation and use).
