Mr. Nguyen Gon (64 years old, Niem Pho village, Quang Dien commune) shared: "The biggest worry is that landslides narrow the road, making it easy for heavy trucks to slide into the river. This is the main route for daily life and goods transportation, and we hope that authorities at all levels will soon fix it to ensure safety".

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Cau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Dien commune, the whole commune currently has many riverbank landslides. Specifically, Niem Pho village had a landslide of over 150m and an inter-commune road; Pho Nam A village had a landslide of about 100m and in Pho Nam village affected 12 households.

"In response to the landslide situation, the commune conducted a survey and prepared a report proposing that the People's Committee of Hue City and the Department of Agriculture and Environment allocate urgent funding for emergency repairs and supplement the budget to build an anti-landslide embankment. In the immediate future, the commune has erected barriers and warning signs, and prevented heavy-duty vehicles from traveling through the landslideed road. At the same time, a detailed survey was conducted to implement the repair, and bamboo stakes and sandbags have been used to limit erosion, said Mr. Cau.
