Of the 1,000 cadres who applied for early retirement, 717 civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Ministry have submitted applications for retirement and 283 people have expressed their wish to retire (if they have funds).
Of these, 596 people have retired early (including 195 civil servants, 315 public employees and 86 workers); 121 people have quit their jobs (including 19 civil servants, 92 public employees and 10 workers); statistics as of March 6, 2025.
The effectiveness of streamlining the apparatus is proven by specific figures. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment alone has so far had 1,000 employees resign.
The State has outstanding support policies, and early retirees will enjoy benefits and feel secure in stabilizing their lives. That is the basic factor for many people to resign, contributing to the streamlining of the apparatus and the arrangement of cadres of agencies and units to be more favorable.
The two ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment merged, and at least 1,000 people have asked to " streamline themselves". Many ministries and departments merged, including provincial and municipal departments, will greatly reduce the number of personnel.
Abandoning the district level, there are 140,000 cadres, civil servants and public employees that need to be reorganized, many of whom have left the apparatus.
Reduced about 8,000 commune-level administrative units, many of the 212,606 commune-level cadres and civil servants quit their jobs and retired early.
Reducing about 50% of provincial administrative units and having a lot of surplus personnel is inevitable.
Not to mention rearranging associations from the central to local levels.
Implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, there will be great changes, saving the budget for salary funds and operations of administrative agencies, allocating investment resources for development and increasing the quality of social security.
Not only saving the budget but streamlining to make the apparatus operate smoothly, efficiently and effectively. Cadres and civil servants change their thinking, serving the people with responsibility and integrity.
The time when "people are the main thing" will be pushed back into the past.
The majority of cadres and civil servants who have retired have a common view, which is to make room for the younger generation, creating favorable conditions for the work of organizing cadres when implementing the streamlining plan.
Those who leave state agencies to see the bright future of the country after the merger, streamlining the apparatus, entering a new era, are certainly ready to sacrifice their personal rights for the national cause.
