Starting construction of Hung Yen General Hospital
In Hung Yen, Minister Dao Hong Lan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Provincial General Hospital Project at Thai Binh Medical Center. This is a group A project, aiming to build a special-class general hospital with a scale of 1,200 beds and modern equipment. The project is divided into two phases, of which phase 1 (2025 - 2027) has an investment capital of more than 380 billion VND, and phase 2 (2026 - 2030) has more than 2,350 billion VND. When completed in 2030, the project will contribute to solving the hospital overload and completing the provincial health network.
Inauguration of the Central Maternity and Obstetrics Hospital, Facility 2
Joining the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, on the morning of August 19, 2025, the Government started construction and inaugurated many key projects across the country. In particular, facility 2 of the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Kieu Phu Commune (Hanoi) is a typical medical project.
On the morning of August 19, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan attended the inauguration ceremony of the second facility of the Central Obstetrics Hospital. The project has a total capital of 950 billion VND, built on an area of nearly 60,000 m2 with 6 floors above ground, 1 technical floor and 1 attic. The hospital has a scale of 300 beds, receiving about 1,000 visits per day, including 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments and many support functional departments.

The new facility is designed to be modern, environmentally friendly, synchronously equipped with medical equipment and apply digital technology and artificial intelligence according to the smart hospital model. The preparation for operation was urgently deployed, from technical systems, infection control to patient safety and fire prevention and fighting.
The opening of the second facility on the occasion of National Day is an important milestone, affirming the determination to innovate, improve the quality of healthcare, towards a fair and modern health care system and taking patients as the center.
Facility 2 of the National Children's Hospital comes into operation
In Kieu Phu commune (Hanoi), Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan attended the inauguration ceremony of the National Children's Hospital, Facility 2.
The project has an investment capital of more than 880 billion VND, built on an area of 6 hectares with a scale of 300 inpatient beds, receiving about 1,500 outpatients per day. The project includes administrative blocks, paraclinics, high-rise inpatient treatment and a synchronous technical infrastructure system.

The hospital is equipped with modern machinery in the field of pediatrics such as testing, imaging diagnosis, emergency resuscitation and operating room system. In parallel, essential medicine and medical supplies have been imported into the warehouse, ensuring readiness to serve children.

The team of experts and leading doctors from facility 1 will work in rotation at facility 2, ensuring the equivalent quality of medical examination and treatment. With 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments and 1 functional unit, the new hospital is expected to reduce the pressure on facility 1, while providing a modern, safe and humane health care environment for children.
Inauguration of the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Center in Thai Nguyen
Also this morning, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc attended the inauguration ceremony of the Intensive Care - Anti-Poison Center of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. The project has a total capital of nearly 155 billion VND from the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program after the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to improve the quality of emergency care, treatment and health care for people.
Nghe An Oncology Hospital
In Nghe An, the inauguration ceremony of Nghe An Oncology Hospital with a scale of 1,000 beds was also held. Group A, level I civil works, with a total investment of more than VND 1,259 billion, including an 8-storey main house, a funeral home and many auxiliary items, meeting the increasing demand for oncology treatment of people in the North Central region.
