The Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) issued a Decision to administratively sanction Huong Hoang Pharmaceutical & Functional Food Company Limited (address: No. 35, Lane 34, Do Ly Khiem Street, Bo Xuyen Ward, Thai Binh City, Thai Binh Province; now Thai Binh Ward, Hung Yen Province) for 5 violations, notably the act of food production and trading that is not in accordance with the published information.
This enterprise has launched 2 batches of canCIVITA D3-GT health protection food products ( batch number: 01.02.25, export price: 12.02.25, HSD: 11.02.28 and batch number: 01. 26.23, export price: 01. 26.23, HSD: 01. 26. 26.26) with many additional ingredients not mentioned in the product declaration file, including: palm Oil, Lecithin, Nipagin, Nipasol, Ethyl Vanilin, Titan dioxyd, Tatrazine Lake, Tatra tozine. This is a violation of regulations on product labeling and ingredients, causing risks to the health of consumers.
CANCIVITA D3-GT product was announced by Gia Thuan Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company with code 2375/2019/DKSP on March 12, 2019. According to the published documents, the manufacturing unit is Huong Hoang Pharmaceutical & Supply Company Limited, and the manufacturing unit is Gia Thuan Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, located in Pho Ho (Lot 1-2, NR Nguyen Thi Doan), Ho Ward, Thuan Thanh Town, Bac Ninh Province (now Thuan Thanh Ward, Bac Ninh Province).
In response to the above incident, the Department of Food Safety has requested the Departments of Health of provinces/cities, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Food Safety Management of Da Nang City and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of localities to conduct supervision and recall the above 2 batches of violating products. In case of detecting violations, the units need to strictly handle them according to the law.
