As of October 11, Thai Nguyen is the most severely affected locality, the whole province has hundreds of thousands of deeply flooded houses, thousands of hectares of rice and crops damaged, and damage estimated at more than 4,000 billion VND.
Lang Son initially recorded over 3,000 households affected by widespread flooding, over 1,000 hectares of crops were flooded, 80 hectares of fruit trees were broken, 153 traffic points were eroded, flooded...
In Cao Bang, when the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) has not ended, storm No. 11 ( Matmo) continues to make landfall, causing people to fall into countless difficulties, storms overlap, floods overlap.
In a short time, less than 2 months, there have been 4 storms affecting Vietnam.
According to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the total estimated damage caused by the flood caused by storm Matmo is VND 7,050 billion, of which Thai Nguyen is still the province that suffered the most damage with VND 4,000 billion, followed by Cao Bang with VND 2,000 billion, Lang Son with VND 1,050 billion.
The flood after the storm left 18 people dead and missing, 15 injured, 34,388 hectares of rice and crops flooded, 13,054 livestock, 701,389 poultry dead or swept away...

People across the northern mountainous provinces and the central provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
