On July 25, the Golden Heart Charity Fund donated 70 million VND to support people affected by floods in Muong Than commune, Lai Chau province.
In which, the Fund supported 2 million VND for each family with a death (9 cases) and 4 million VND for each household whose house was completely swept away by floods (13 cases).
The funding support this time is 50 million VND supported by Petrolimex Asphalt Co., Ltd. through the Golden Heart Charity Fund.
According to a report by the People's Committee of Muong Than commune, the prolonged heavy rain from mid-July has caused flash floods and serious landslides in the area.
To date, natural disasters have affected more than 1,100 households with over 5,800 people; causing 9 deaths, 11 injuries, many houses, production land, traffic works, electricity, schools damaged, total estimated damage of over 290 billion VND.
The support fund of the Golden Heart Charity Fund was given promptly to encourage families to overcome losses, stabilize their lives after natural disasters, and at the same time provide more resources for localities to overcome the consequences of floods.
Currently, the Muong Than commune government is mobilizing forces to overcome infrastructure, support people to stabilize their residences, production and review areas at risk of landslides to ensure safety.
Towards the people affected by floods
From July 16 to July 17, 2026, heavy prolonged rain occurred in Muong Than commune, Lai Chau province, causing flash floods, landslides and serious landslides.
As of the end of July 24, the flash flood and landslide in Muong Than commune has affected more than 1,100 households with over 5,800 people, killing 9 people and injuring 11 people.
19 households were completely swept away by floods, dozens of other houses were heavily damaged, and at the same time caused 297 households located in landslide-prone areas to be relocated.
