Emotions when receiving support from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund
Statistics from the Hue City Labor Federation (Hue City Labor Federation) show that the historic flood in late October and early November 2025 caused damage to 5,711 union members and workers, 772 people lost their jobs temporarily, and 5 people had accidents; including 1 death. The total estimated property damage is more than 18.9 billion VND.
Faced with these great losses, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund has donated 200 million VND to promptly support union members and workers in Hue to overcome difficulties.
Recently, the Hue City Labor Federation organized a fund-raising ceremony from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund for 66 cases of severe damage. Of which, 60 union members were supported with 2 million VND/person and 6 cases with special difficulties were supported with 5 million VND/person, with a total amount of 150 million VND.
These support packages not only help union members reduce difficulties after natural disasters, but also spread the spirit of sharing and responsibility of the Trade Union organization and accompanying units. This is a great source of encouragement for workers to soon stabilize their lives and return to production with peace of mind.

On this occasion, the Red scarves Support Fund and the sponsor also presented a symbolic board worth more than 3.3 billion VND to the Hue City Labor Federation and the Hue City Red Cross Society, to serve support activities in the area. The Trade Union of SCAVI Hue Company also received a symbolic board of 300 gifts to distribute to the company's union members.
Ms. Dang Thi Thuong, a union member of SCAVI Hue Company, emotionally said: "After the flood, everyone was struggling. Receiving this gift, I feel warm because I know that workers always have the Union by their side. This is a great source of encouragement for us to overcome the most difficult time.
Trade unions go directly to the grassroots, share losses with workers
Previously, on November 10, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City to organize a program to support union members and workers affected by storms and floods in 2025.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 1 billion VND to support Hue workers to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his deep sympathy for the losses that Hue people and workers have to bear, and affirmed that the Trade Union organization will continue to accompany the locality in the work of restoring production and taking care of the lives of union members and workers after natural disasters.

Immediately after the support awarding ceremony, the working group went to Victortex Hue One Member Co., Ltd. to present 60 gifts directly to workers severely affected. The delegation also came to burn incense and share the loss with the families of union members who died in floods in Vy Da ward.
Receiving support gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, a union member of Victortex Hue Company, emotionally shared: "During the flood days, my house was almost completely flooded, my property was damaged, and I had to take a few days off work. Now that I have received the attention of the Trade Union, I feel warm-hearted and motivated to work, to restore my life. For us workers, this is not only a material gift but a great source of spiritual encouragement.
The meaningful gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund have given strength to union members and workers in Hue to overcome difficulties and return to production after storms and floods. In difficult times, the spirit of "wherever there are workers, there is a Trade Union" is clearly affirmed, always accompanying and sharing with workers in all circumstances.
