During the Chinese National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from October 1-8, many areas in China will face extreme weather such as heavy rain, tropical storms and cold air causing sudden cold.
The National Climate Center forecasts that from October 1-6, heavy to very heavy rain will cover the provinces of Sichuan, Chongqing, Shandong, Hubei, Hebei, Heinan, Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui.
The weather forecast of the National Climate Center of China said that from October 5-7, a strong cold air mass will sweep across most of the country, causing temperatures to drop to 4-8 degrees Celsius. The Tangshan Plateau and northern Xinjiang are also likely to experience snowfall, even local snowstorms.
In Quang Dong, the weather in the first days of October will remain hot and sunny with temperatures of 33-35 degrees Celsius. However, from October 5-6, a tropical storm from the Western Pacific may enter the East Sea. Although the storm's path is not yet determined, this system may affect sea and coastal tourism, with winds reaching level 8 or higher in some areas of the East Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin.
It is forecasted that by October 7-8, weak cold air will flow down to the South, helping the temperature drop to 28-31 degrees Celsius with scattered rain.
In Quang Chau, the weather will be mainly sunny from the end of September to October 4, before becoming unstable with rain and cooler temperatures from October 5 onwards.
In Vietnam, the North welcomed the first cold air mass since September 27, the temperature dropped significantly at night and early morning, in some mountainous areas below 19 degrees Celsius. This is a weak cold air mass, gradually weakening after September 30, but the temperature is still lower than before.
Meanwhile, due to the impact of storm No. 10, floods are becoming more complicated in Northern Vietnam. Last night and this morning (September 30), the Northern region and Thanh Hoa had moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa provinces had heavy to very heavy rain.

Heavy rain forecast in the next 24-48 hours: Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen with rainfall of 40-80mm, locally over 200mm. Other places in the North and Thanh Hoa are 20-60mm, locally over 100mm.
On the morning of September 30, the Vietnam National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued a notice of exceptionally large floods on the Thao River, emergency floods on the Ma River and floods on the Ca River and Dong Nai River.
From September 30 to October 1, on rivers in the Northern region, the Lo River; Cau River, Thuong River (Bac Ninh), the downstream of the La River will continue to rise. During this flood, flood peaks on small rivers are at alert level 2, alert level 3 and above alert level 3. The flood peak on the Lo River (Tuyen Quang) is above alert level 3, the flood peak on the Thao River (Phu Tho), Cau River, Thuong River is at alert level 1 - alert level 2; the downstream of the La River (Ha Tinh) is at alert level 2.
Flooding occurred in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas in the Northern region, from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh, Dong Nai; flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in the Northern mountainous areas, from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh.
