Every Lunar New Year or Hung Kings' Death Anniversary, a large number of overseas Vietnamese from many countries and territories return to their homeland, participating in activities towards the nation's roots. Returns not only carry the meaning of reunion, but also contribute to consolidating the great national unity bloc, connecting domestic compatriots with the Vietnamese community abroad.
In Phu Tho, many overseas Vietnamese were moved when they were offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings, expressing the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source". For the young generation born abroad, trips to the source contribute to fostering love for the homeland, national pride and awareness of preserving Vietnamese identity.
Through community connection activities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to affirm its role in gathering and uniting overseas Vietnamese, while promoting intellectual, cultural and people-to-people diplomacy resources from the overseas Vietnamese community towards national construction.
