Since last weekend, the sports industry has increased the nutrition regime for key coaches and athletes preparing for ASIAD 20 to 600,000 VND/person per day.
Previously, each person had a nutritional regime of 400,000 VND/person per day.
The increase in nutrition levels is applied according to the contents specified in Decree 349/2025/ND-CP Regulating regimes and policies for members of sports teams participating in concentrated training and competition.
Decree 349/2025/ND-CP specifically states: "coaches and athletes summoned to national sports teams to prepare for SEA Games, ASIAD, Asian Para Games, Olympic Games and Paralympic Games are entitled to a nutritional regime of 600,000 VND/person/day for a period of no more than 90 days".
This is a specific nutrition level raised during the high concentration period so that each coach and athlete is guaranteed health towards competing in important international sports events.
In addition, Decree 349/2025/ND-CP also has the content: "coaches and athletes who are summoned to national sports teams and are likely to win gold medals at ASIAD, gold medals at Youth Olympic Games, are likely to meet the standards to participate in the Olympic Games and coaches and athletes who meet the standards to participate in the Paralympic Games are entitled to a nutritional regime of 800,000 VND/person/day".
The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports has reviewed the list of key coaches and athletes preparing for ASIAD 20 and reported to the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism proposing to increase nutrition levels for subjects by group (receiving 600,000 VND/person/day, 800,000 VND/person/day).
The list has been approved and a special nutrition regime has been implemented.
