The organizing committee of the 20th Asian Games (ASIAD 20) in Japan has announced the official schedule for 43 sports.
This Congress, host Japan put 469 events into competition.
The official schedule will take place from September 19th to October 4th. However, according to each sport, the schedule will depend on the content.
According to the official schedule announced by the ASIAD 20 Organizing Committee, the Opening Ceremony will take place on September 19 and the Closing Ceremony on October 4.
Before the opening time, some sports have early competition content such as basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, cricket. Basketball will compete earliest at ASIAD 20, from September 10th.
However, the ASIAD 20 sports will organize a draw before the official competition and then the detailed schedule will be announced.
The Organizing Committee of the Congress added 2 sports, teqball and padel, to the official program to increase the number to 43 (including 71 sub-sports).
The sports at ASIAD 20 include: Aquatics (swimming, diving, artistic swimming, handball), archery, athletics, badminton, soft 野球, basketball, boxing, breaking, canoeing/kayak, sparring martial arts (jujitsu, kurash, MMA), cycling (highway, canoe, mountain climbing, BMX), horse racing, esports, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics (gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, trampoline), hockey, kabaddi, karate, modern pentathlon, rowing, 7-a-side football, sailing, sepak takraw, shooting, skateboarding, mountain climbing sports, squash, surfing, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, teqball, triathlon, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling and wushu.
ASIAD 20 will sell television rights so that media and television units can own live signals of the competition content when the Games are held.
