Within the framework of the project "FITEQ Training Camp celebrating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam - Hungary relations in Ho Chi Minh City", from July 15 to 30, the Teqball education and development program for the Teqball Vietnam team took place at Binh Phu Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. This activity was carried out with the support of the Sports diplomacy Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
The training camp was attended by coach Milan Szabo (Hungary) - a prestigious expert from the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ). In addition, coach Pornthep Wapisiri (Thailand), a very strong country in Teqball in Southeast Asia, also participated in professional support for Vietnamese athletes.
Within the framework of the program, international Teqball experts have trained referees in expertise, provided technical and tactical support to athletes, and improved the capacity of the Vietnamese coaching team, aiming for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand by the end of 2025.
The athletes with good expertise of the Vietnam Teqball team have been carefully selected and have been enthusiastically instructed in techniques, in order to improve their expertise, to aim for the upcoming two international tournaments, the Asian Youth Championship and the 33rd SEA Games.

Meanwhile, experts Pornthep Wapisiri and Milan Szabo said they had carefully studied professional issues before coming to Vietnam, to focus on improving the weaknesses of athletes.
Expert Milan Szabo has carefully instructed athletes on the heading technique, while Mr. Pornthep has given effective leg exercises. Through these training days, experts hope to help Teqball Vietnam athletes improve their techniques and diversify their tactics to compete more effectively in the near future.
At the end of the training camp, on the afternoon of July 30, the Consulate General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City met with experts and members of the Teqball Vietnam team.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Lehőcz Gabor - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City said: This training camp is an important milestone, not only for the development of Teqball, but also for the strong friendship between Hungary and Vietnam.
The event becomes even more special as 2025 is the year of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries".
Teqball was only born in 2014 but is considered the sport with the fastest development rate in the world, present in more than 140 countries and territories, recognized by many Olympic Committees of continents.
Ho Chi Minh City is the leading locality in the country in developing Teqball in both breadth and depth. From December 4 to 8, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City organized the 2024 Teqball World Championship, attracting 221 athletes from 95 countries and territories around the world to participate, with a total of 301 matches.
This is the largest Teqball tournament ever, in the 10th year of the sport's official birth and creating a strong spread in the world.
Looking back at the 2024 Teqball World Championship, held in Ho Chi Minh City, we see great potential in the cooperative relationship between FITEQ and Vietnam. This cooperation not only strengthens international sports relations but also contributes significantly to the process of training and developing athletes, creating a solid foundation for them to confidently enter the international arena, said Mr. Lehőcz Gabor.
