Do Duong Gia Minh temporarily leads the 2025 National Golf Championship

The 2025 National Golf Championship has kicked off and Do Duong Gia Minh temporarily leads after the first day of competition.

On August 19 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon (Gia Lai), 125 professional and amateur golfers began competing in the 2025 National Golf Championship.

On the first day of the tournament, Do Duong Gia Minh was the only golfer to finish below the standard stick. Starting from hole 1 in the afternoon match, Do Duong Gia Minh had 2 double bogey in the first 9 holes but still had 7 Birdie in the next holes to rise to the top of the table with a score of -1 (71 sticks).

Right behind Do Duong Gia Minh is Yang Jung Soo. This golfer has 4 Birdiedie and 1 eagle impressively at hole 5 in the afternoon to close the first round in Even Par.

defending national champion Nguyen Duc Son ended the first round with a score of +2, temporarily ranked 3rd. Although he played well in the first holes, Duc Son was not effective in the final part, so he ended the first round with 75 sticks. Standing in 3rd place with Duc Son are Nguyen Van Quang and Dao Van Hoan.

In the women's group, the two national players Le Chuc An and Than Bao Nghi both led with a score of +2 after the first round.

After finishing 4 bogey in the first 9 holes, Than Bao Nghi was calm to compete better in the next holes and achieved 3 Birdie, putting herself in the title race.

Le Chuc An is the current national champion, so she knows how to complete her skills best in the first round.

Ranked 3rd is experienced golfer Nguyen Thao My (score +3) and 4th is Doan Xuan Khue Minh (+4).

On August 20, golfers competing in the second round faced the pressure to overcome the qualifying round of the organizing committee.

The men's group will select 50 people with the best results to continue while the women's group will select 12 golfers at the top with a draw to continue.
