Also returning this time is a member of the Vietnamese Women's Beach Handball Team. This is the team that won the 3rd gold medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 2026 Asian Beach Games.
At Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), representatives of the Vietnam Sports Administration welcomed the returning Vietnamese Sports Delegation. In which, Head of Delegation Le Thanh Ha said that the Congress took place with many emotions and members of the delegation competed with the highest effort.
We closed the 2026 Asian Beach Games in 4th place with a total of 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 5 bronze medals. The sports that won medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation are beach handball, beach athletics, open water swimming, traditional boat racing, beach wrestling.
In this participation, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation had 90 members (including 54 athletes). On the evening of April 30 local time, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation attended the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games.
At the Closing Ceremony, representatives of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) awarded the flag of hosting the 2028 Beach Games to the host Philippines. The host city is expected to be Cebu (Philippines).
