On the afternoon of November 15, Gunma Green Wings club regained the joy of victory after defeating Aranmare Yamagata with a score of 3-0, respectively 33-31, 25-23 and 25-19. This is the team's 5th win, thereby consolidating its position in the group competing for the throne in the Japanese SV.League.
Aranmare is considered a tough opponent with 3 familiar Thai players: Ajcharaporn, Wimonrat and Donphon. However, Donphon is absent from this match due to injury.
The first set was tense as both teams played cautiously and did not have many mistakes. Gunma could only end the set with the decisive points at the end, over Aranmare 33-31.
In set 2, Aranmare tried to increase pressure from Ajcharaporn's attack, but Gunma still maintained the initiative in defense and chasing points. The set ended with a score of 25-23 for Gunma after an accurate handling at the end of the set.
The next set witnessed a more obvious advantage from Gunma Green Wings. An effective blocker and a 2-3 defensive ability help the team minimize points from Aranmare's powerful smashes. Thanh Thuy's team ended the set with a score of 25-19, thereby sealing a 3-0 victory.
In this match, although not the one who received the most ball, Thanh Thuy still showed stability and the ability to effectively take advantage of scoring opportunities. The highlight of the main striker from Vietnam is the very good defensive and covering situations, contributing to maintaining the rhythm of the competition and creating conditions for teammates to counterattack.
This victory helped Gunma Green Wings gain more confidence before the next leg, while also showing clear progress of the team after each match.
