The stadium project was approved by the People's Committee of Vinh Yen city on July 25, 2022 with a total investment of over 148 billion VND.
This is a key project that Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong has just directed to speed up the construction progress to hand over and put the project into operation in October 2025, welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels.
In late April 2025, according to the reporter's records, the contractor took advantage of favorable weather, focusing on workers to install left-sided roof items and materials brought up by the crane. The ground yard is being leveled, preparing for completion.
The stadium is located in the Vinh Yen City Cultural and Sports Area with a construction area of over 14 hectares in Dinh Trung Ward. In addition, a 700-seat multi-purpose sports hall; a swimming pool with a roof covering 600 seats will be built.
According to the Management Board of Vinh Yen City Investment and Construction Project, the project has completed the basic construction of rough part items. Contractors are constructing structural items covering, completing works and technical infrastructure items.
Mr. Le The Ha - Construction Commander of Vinh Phuc Construction and Trading Company Limited - said: The company is mobilizing technical staff and workers to focus on vehicles and human resources to carry out construction even during the April 30 - May holiday and holidays.
Currently, all workers are focusing on the construction of the left roof of the stadium. The rest are waiting for material gathering. According to the plan, by mid-June 2025, both roofs of the project will be completed.
It is expected that by September 2025, the construction items will be basically completed and the project will be ready to be put into use.
