On May 26, in Dien Bien Phu City, the Vietnam Olympic Committee coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien to organize the Children's Olympic Day 2025.

The program aims to practically achieve achievements in celebrating major holidays of the country and the province, in response to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". This is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 131st anniversary of the International Olympic Committee's founding (June 23) and Vietnam Sports Day (March 27).

In the exciting atmosphere, over 1,200 cadres, teachers, athletes, and students of junior high and high schools in Dien Bien Phu City... ran together for about 2km, on the route named after General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Joining the crowd, Ngo Tuong Minh (grade 8 student at Muong Thanh Secondary School, Dien Bien Phu City) excitedly said: "I feel very energetic and excited because not only the accompanying students but also the teachers and siblings cheer me very enthusiastically.
Running on the route named after General Vo Nguyen Giap, a very convenient route that bears a strong historical mark, is a wonderful experience after the summer vacation.

Mr. Tran Van Manh - General Secretary of the Vietnam Olympic Committee - Head of the Organizing Committee said that the meaningful message from the International Olympic Committee: When we practice sports, it not only helps the body and mind to be healthy and strong but also inspires us to always strive our best. Sports help us dream, spread joy and bring people closer together....

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien, Children's Olympic Day 2025 will encourage the movement of physical exercise in schools and the community. Thereby, helping students absorb the value of the Olympic sports movement.

According to research, since April 2014, Dien Bien Phu City has attached a sign with the name " Vo Nguyen Giap Street" instead of "Road 7/5".
Vo Nguyen Giap Street is a road located in the inner city of Dien Bien Phu City, part of the main road 279 connecting from Hanoi Capital, passing through Hoa Binh, Son La and to Tay Trang Border Gate. The road is about 7km long, starting at Huoi Pha bridge, ending at the end of the double road, bordering Dien Bien Phu city with Dien Bien district.
In particular, Vo Nguyen Giap Street passes through the Dien Bien Provincial Administrative Center and many historical sites such as: A1, E1, E2, A1 Cemetery...
