Focusing on the 33rd SEA Games mission
Vietnam Sports is training more than 40 national sports teams. The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports has identified 2 specific phases of the training program. The second phase for each team will start from July 2025.
The key task is to determine that Vietnamese sports are in the top 3 countries at the 33rd SEA Games, with a target of 80 to 100 Gold Medals. Right now, athletes of the national sports teams are focusing on their expertise.
17 national sports teams in important groups including athletics, swimming, shooting, archery, taekwondo, weightlifting, boxing, fencing, gymnastics, cycling, judo, physical education, badminton, boat racing, karate, wushu and cloud badminton are reviewing their forces to achieve the best expertise to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. We are combining foreign experts and domestic coaches in the professional training of players in many of the above teams.
Expert Gustavo Piza is working with the Vietnam Swimming Team. The Brazilian expert started to improve the professional index for the important group of bulbs during the training process at this time.
He is trusted by the Vietnam Swimming Team to help many top players such as Tran Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Quang Thuan, Pham Thanh Bao... maintain their form and achieve the highest results at the 33rd SEA Games. In the immediate future, Mr. Gustavo Piza will focus on coaching the Vietnam Swimming Team to prepare for the 2025 World Championship in Singapore (on the route on July 24.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Shooting Team uses expert altantsetseg Byambajavyn (Mongolia) to train female shooters. To ensure achievements, the Vietnam Shooting Team will continue to hire experts for the rifle content. Ms. altantsetseg Byambajavyn played a role in directing the shooter of the Vietnam Shooting Team to win the Gold Medal in the men's and women's 10m air pistol event at the 2025 Asian Championship.
In addition to the above teams, many other teams have experts including taekwondo ( Iranian, Korean experts), archery (Korean experts), gymnastics equipment (Japan experts), badminton (Indonesian experts), wushu (Chinese experts) ...
The effectiveness lies in the coordination
When experts come to work in Vietnam, managers wait for the effectiveness they bring. The effectiveness will reflect the competition results of the athletes. However, experts who want to be effective always need to coordinate well with local coaches.
Recently, the Vietnamese wushu team has competed in 2 international tournaments including the 2025 World tan Luong Cup (Winning 3 Gold Medals) and the 2025 Asian wushu Cup (Winning 2 Gold Medals). In each tournament, the coaching staff affirmed that each Mei Di expert, Li YanXin (China) has coordinated well with domestic coaches to build tactics and exercises to help Vietnamese fighters achieve success.
This year, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team has sent Karl Lim, a fitness expert from Australia to work in Vietnam. When starting work, Mr. Karl Lim once expressed that he always wanted the highest connection with domestic coaches. In fact, the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team always welcomes experts to work.
Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet commented: When there are more experts Karl Lim, our players can do more professional physical exercises. Overall, the players are comfortable during practice sessions and actual competitions, and the athletes do not have injury problems like before".
Currently, Mr. Karl Lim continues to take on the task of participating in the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team participating in the Shanghai Future Stars 2025 tournament in China (closed on July 20).
