According to Lao Dong's research, middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy has been in Japan since November 4. As soon as he arrived in Japan, the hitter started practicing with his teammates at the Okayama SeaGulls.
Previously, many speculations about Bich Thuy's ability to compete in Japan were raised by Vietnamese fans on volleyball forums. However, this hitter still has a contract to play with the Okayama SeaGulls as signed.
Bich Thuy's official shirt number for the Okayama SeaGulls has not been announced. However, this middle blocker still believes that he will soon have the opportunity to compete in Japan. Thus, Vietnamese women's volleyball currently has 2 players in Japan, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy.
During the international competition training period in early 2025, Tran Thi Bich Thuy was a member of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. She has to compete in Japan so she has not participated in the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team at the present time.
However, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet once said that Bich Thuy is one of the players he calculated to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
In early 2025, Tran Thi Bich Thuy competed in the Korean National Championship and then returned home to continue competing in the 2025 National Championship for the Duc Giang Chemicals team.
