On May 31, the 2nd National Congress of the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation (VMMAF) took place in Hanoi. The Congress summarized the activities of the first term as well as the orientation for the next 5 years.
During the first term (2020-2025), VMMAF has achieved remarkable results such as perfecting institutions and organizations; expanding scale and developing movements; training high-quality human resources, developing professional tournaments with the MMA LION Championship; extensive international integration with outstanding achievements; financial autonomy.
The achievements that VMMAF has achieved include becoming a member of the International mixed martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and the Asian mixed martial arts Association (AMMA); Vietnamese mixed martial arts athletes have won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal at the first Asian MMA Championship.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam said that after her first term, in the context of the sports industry not having a mixed martial arts competition, the members of the executive committee mostly working part-time, ... but VMMAF has united, agreed, made efforts to build a movement, stabilized the organization, and was highly appreciated by professional management agencies and fans.

At the Congress, VMMAF elected a new executive committee of 27 members. The Standing Committee of the Federation for the second term consists of 7 members, of which Mr. Ngo Duc Quynh holds the position of Chairman, the Vice Chairmen include Mr. Dao Gia Bao, Mr. Vo Quoc Thang, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong.
Mr. Mai Thanh Ba holds the position of General Secretary. The Head of the Inspection Committee is Mr. Nguyen To An, Mr. Nguyen Cong Tam is Deputy Head of the Committee. The Head of the Finance Department is Mr. Vu Hai Quan.

In the coming time, VMMAF will continue to consolidate and perfect the organization with the same goal of coordinating with the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Olympic Committee to select athletes to participate in the ASIAD, SEA Games and the Asian indoor Sports and Martial Arts Festival (AimaG).
