On July 19 local time in Bangkok (Thailand), the Vietnamese swimming team continued to win 4 more gold medals.
Players Tran Van Nguyen Quoc and Nguyen Kha Nhi respectively won the men's 800m freestyle and women's 800m freestyle (17-18 year old group).
In the men's 800m freestyle event, Nguyen Quoc achieved the best result of 8 minutes 05 seconds 34 to win a gold medal.
Nguyen Quoc's gold medal in the men's 800m freestyle event is the 3rd individual gold medal in this year's tournament for the swimmer from Da Nang.
For Kha Nhi, she won her first individual gold medal at the 2026 Asian Age Group Championships. Kha Nhi reached the finish line first with a time of 8 minutes 57 seconds 84, in the women's 800m freestyle event.
In addition, we also have a gold medal in the women's 200m butterfly event (age group 17-18) by athlete Le Thi Thuy Trang.
Thuy Trang finished fastest in the final of the event with a time of 2 minutes 17 seconds 05.
In the men's 200m butterfly final (age group 17-18), Duong Van Hoang Quy won a gold medal with a time of 2 minutes 01 seconds 46.
The 2026 Asian Age Group Championship will compete until July 21st.
