Tran Van Nguyen Quoc is the most noticed face by experts in the men's events that the Vietnamese Youth Swimming Team registered to compete in the 2026 Asian Age Group Championship.
The competition program takes place from July 17 to July 21 in Bangkok (Thailand).
In the early morning of July 16, Nguyen Quoc and all members of the Vietnamese Youth Swimming Team were present in Thailand to be in time to get acquainted with the swimming pool before the competition.
This year, the Vietnamese Youth Swimming Team registered 19 athletes.
In addition to Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, fans will also see some familiar young swimmers of Vietnamese Sports competing in the 2026 Southeast Asian Age Group Championship, namely Nguyen Thuy Hien, Duong Van Hoang Quy, Nguyen Ngoc Huyen Tran, Nguyen Kha Nhi, Le Thi Thuy Trang...
The tournament will organize events according to 3 age groups, respectively 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 boys and girls.
Tran Van Nguyen Quoc, Nguyen Thuy Hien will participate in the age group 17-18.
At the tournament, the Asian Aquatic Sports Federation brought into competition 17 individual events, 3 relay events for men and women respectively from groups 15-16 years old, 17-18 years old. In addition, each age group also competed in 2 mixed men's and women's relay events.
The 2026 Asian Age Group Championship is Tran Van Nguyen Quoc's first official international tournament this year.
Before going to Thailand to compete, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese swimming team said that Nguyen Quoc's spirit and form are stable to confidently compete.
