On the morning of November 14, the Vietnamese women's futsal team went to the Philippines to participate in the 2024 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship. The flight of the Vietnamese women's futsal team took off at 9:25 a.m. at Tan Son Nhat airport.
It is expected that at 1:30 p.m. the same day, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team will arrive in the capital Manila of the Philippines.
The list of the Vietnamese women's futsal team participating in the tournament has been reduced to 16 players, including 2 goalkeepers. Thus, after the domestic training session, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang has removed the names of 4 players: goalkeeper Le Trinh Khanh Linh, Bui Thi Thuong, Danh Lam Kim Phung, Ngo Thi Hong Nhung.
Evaluating the training results, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said he was satisfied with the training spirit and preparation of the whole team. "The Vietnamese women's futsal team will compete with determination to achieve the best results," said coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang.
As planned, on November 16, representatives of the Vietnamese women's futsal team will attend a technical meeting and press conference before the tournament.
Previously, assessing the opponents, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang commented: “The first match is always difficult. With opponents Myanmar, although the coaching staff does not yet fully understand their playing style, we will have strategies to overcome their strengths of physical strength and physique.
The next opponents are not inferior to us, especially Thailand, a very strong team. We will have to calculate each match, especially with a tight schedule, aiming to achieve the best results."
Preparing for the 2024 Southeast Asian women's futsal tournament, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a month of domestic training with 2 international friendly matches with a very high-quality "blue team", the Russian women's futsal team.
Before that, the team participated in international friendly tournaments in Thailand (won the championship) and China (won the runner-up position).
At the 2024 Southeast Asian women's futsal tournament, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will play 4 matches with opponents Myanmar, Indonesia, host Philippines and Thailand from November 17 to November 20.
