Right after the opening whistle, strikers from Europe quickly pressed the goal of the Vietnamese women's futsal team.
However, the excellence of goalkeeper Tran Thi Hai Yen helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team only concede a single goal in the first half in the 6th minute.
In the second half, the Russian futsal team quickly doubled the gap with a surprising shot in the 27th minute. Less than 1 minute later, the Vietnamese futsal team conceded the third goal.
Conceding a goal, the Vietnamese futsal team quickly deployed a power-play tactic in the remaining time. Thanks to that, Thuy Trang and her teammates got a goal with Thanh Ngan's goal.
However, that was all the Vietnamese women's futsal team could do in this match. In the remaining time, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's students conceded 3 more goals and accepted a final defeat with a score of 1-6.
Regarding his players' performance, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang commented: "After the first friendly match, the team has learned many lessons and played better in today's match. However, the team still has many points to improve in the upcoming training session. Counter-attacks and fixed defense are the current weaknesses that the coaching staff must overcome."
"However, the coaching staff is still very satisfied with the players' playing spirit in the two matches. The Russian team is a strong opponent, with good individual skills and high intensity, so we lost control of their movements and tactics.
The two matches with the Russian team are the final assessment after the past 3 weeks of training to prepare for the upcoming Southeast Asian tournament. The coaching staff will review the mistakes and improve in the next training sessions," Mr. Hoang added.
According to plan, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will have 3 more days of training before leaving for the Philippines on November 14 to participate in the 2024 Southeast Asian women's futsal tournament.
