Determined to win all 3 points, the Vietnamese women's futsal team took the initiative and attacked right after the opening whistle.
In the first minute, captain Thanh Hang had an impressive dribble, coordinated a smart touch with her teammate, creating conditions for Nguyen Phuong Anh to finish accurately into the near corner, helping the Vietnamese futsal team take the lead.
Four minutes later, the gap was increased to 2-0 thanks to Bui Thi Trang. She made a tricky header, after a delicate combination of a side kick and an accurate pass from the middle of the field.
Just 30 seconds later, Bui Thi Trang completed her double with a neat finish from captain Thanh Hang's perfect cross.
In the 12th minute, Thuy Trang had a great acceleration, then made a favorable cross for Bien Thi Hang to easily finish, raising the score to 4-0.
Having taken an early 4-goal lead, the Vietnamese women's futsal team began to slow down the pace of the match. From this point on, the Indonesian women's futsal team was able to hold the ball and create more opportunities.
However, the Indonesian futsal team could not put the ball into the net of the Vietnamese futsal team.
In the second half, the Indonesian women's futsal team started to deploy the power-play tactic. However, not only did they not score, the Indonesian futsal team also conceded a fifth goal when Thanh Ngan scored.
In the end, the Vietnamese women's futsal team defeated the Indonesian women's futsal team with a score of 5-0. This result helped coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team gain 6 points after 2 wins.
Tomorrow (November 19), the Vietnamese futsal team will play the third match of the 2024 Southeast Asian women's futsal tournament against the host Philippines at 6:00 p.m.
