On the evening of February 27, the Vietnamese women's team under the guidance of coach Mai Duc Chung departed for Australia to participate in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup finals.

According to the plan, the whole team will move from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City before taking a flight to Perth (Australia) departing at 0:55 on February 28. It is expected that the Vietnamese women's team will land in Perth at 8:50 am (local time).

Previously, the team gathered from January 15 to prepare for the important tournament of Asian women's football. During the training process, from February 7 to February 14, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team had a training trip to China with two friendly matches with the Chinese women's national team. This is an opportunity for the coaching staff to review the force, test the squad as well as improve cohesion in the playing style.

After more than a month of concentration, the Vietnamese women's team has made careful preparations in terms of expertise, fitness and tactics, ready to enter the first official tournament of 2026 with high determination.

The early presence in Australia is expected to help the whole team have more time to adapt to weather and field conditions, and at the same time complete the final preparation steps before entering the competition in the continental arena.
