Tickets to watch the U22 Thailand match at the 33rd SEA Games are still many

MINH PHONG |

Despite opposition from fans, the Sports Agency of Thailand (SAT) still maintains the registration process for tickets to watch the match of U22 Thailand at SEA Games 33.

As of the morning of December 3, the number of tickets for matches at the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium is still large. The group of famous Thai football fans called "Ultras Thailand" has decided to boycott the 33rd SEA Games. The reason for the protest comes from the regulation on collecting entrance tickets set by the organizers.

Accordingly, audiences must register personal information and phone number to be issued a QR code to get football tickets and opening tickets. Therefore, "Ultras Thailand" requested the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) to change the way of registering to receive tickets because "the influence of personal information violates the basic freedoms of sports audiences".

At the same time, this group also proposed to remove the arrangement of away team fans in the stands behind the goal.

Despite the fans' strong move, SAT still decided to keep the process. Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee - Governor SAT affirmed: "Thailand fans must register, enter their phone number to receive the QR code and get tickets, including tickets to watch the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium on December 9".

Thai media reported that fans can register up to 10,000 seats to watch the opening ceremony through the website of the 33rd SEA Games. The form of ticket collection prescribed by the host country is consistent with each other, and must provide personal information.

Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee said that the organization of men's football and other sports is ready. The information is updated in detail on different websites and platforms, allowing fans to book tickets for free.
