In the Northern region, the price of live pigs has increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg. After adjustment, Lang Son and Quang Ninh recorded VND 60,000/kg; Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh and Lai Chau at VND 61,000/kg. The localities of Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Phu Tho and Hung Yen reached the highest level in the country of 62,000 VND/kg.
In particular, Lao Cai and Son La remained unchanged, continuing at VND 60,000/kg.
In the Central region, except for Lam Dong, the price of live pigs in the remaining localities increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg. Thanh Hoa and Nghe An localities have the highest purchasing prices in the region at 62,000 VND/kg and 61,000 VND/kg respectively. The remaining provinces and cities are at 60,000 VND/kg.
In the Southern region, live pig prices have increased simultaneously in all localities. This is still the area with the lowest price in the country, as some provinces and cities such as An Giang, Ca Mau, Can Tho continue to maintain the threshold below 60,000 VND/kg.
Currently, traders are purchasing live pigs for around 58,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.
