Domestic pepper prices: Continue to fall sharply
As of 11:30 today (October 1), the domestic pepper market continued to decline, averaging 146,700 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 146,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai province today reduced by 1,500 VND/kg, purchasing at 145,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Dong Nai remained unchanged at VND146,000/kg.
In the same direction, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak, Lam Dong decreased by VND 1,000/kg, simultaneously setting the mark of VND 146,000/kg.
World pepper prices: In the same direction as price reduction
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - "turned around" and decreased by 0.07% and 0.08%. Currently, these two items are traded between 6,979 - 9,889 USD/ton (equivalent to 184,567 VND/kg - 261,525 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market held 6,500 USD/ton (about 171,899 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 13,000 USD/ton and 9,600 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,626 VND/kg).
