Information related to salary arrangement for Commanders, Deputy Commanders, and Assistants of the Commune-level Military Command received much attention from readers.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, from July 1, 2025, when implementing the organization of local government at 2 levels and implementing the new regulations of the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants in 2025, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces in 2019 (amended and supplemented by a number of articles in Law No. 98/2025/QH15), the arrangement of positions of Commander, Deputy Commander, Assistant to the Military Command Board at the commune level (new) is as follows:
Regarding salary ranking for Commanders, Deputy Commanders, Assistants of the Military Command Board at the commune level (new), in cases where salaries are currently ranked according to the professional and nghiep vu salary scale of civil servants and public employees specified in Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, they will continue to receive salaries according to the ranks and ranks that have been ranked.
In cases where salaries are being ranked according to the salary scale of military rank officers of the People's Army; officers, non-commissioned officers of the People's Police and mobile phones or are being ranked according to the salary scale of professional soldiers of the People's Army and technical experts of the People's Police or according to salary scales for mobile phone staff, they shall be implemented according to each case according to the guidance in Clause 6, Clause 7, Section III of Circular No. 79/2005/TT-BNV.
In cases not falling under the above cases, it shall be implemented according to the calculation method in point a, clause 10 of Circular No. 79/2005/TT-BNV.
Accordingly, based on the working time in accordance with the law, suitable to the professional qualification requirements of the position of Commander, Deputy Commander, Assistant to the Military Command Board at the commune level (new), with compulsory social insurance contributions (if not continuously but has not received a one-time social insurance allowance, it is accumulated), ranked in the salary grade in the specialist - civil servant rank of type A1 (if having university degree) or civil servant of type A0 (if having college degree) specified in the professional and nghiep vu salary scale for officials and civil servants in state agencies (Tab 2) issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP according to the principle:
Calculated from grade 1, every 3 years (36 months) is ranked up to 1 salary grade; after converting the time to be ranked into the salary grade in the civil servant rank, if there are months that are not enough 36 months, these months are counted as the time to consider the next salary grade increase or consider enjoying seniority allowances beyond the framework (if any).
