On April 18, localities in Binh Duong are collecting public opinions on the arrangement of administrative units.
In Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat city, neighborhoods have gone to distribute ballots to collect opinions from households. The first content to be consulted is the merger of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City, expected to be named Ho Chi Minh City and the political center located in Ho Chi Minh City.
The second content is the arrangement of 91 administrative units in Binh Duong with the remaining 36 communes and wards. The third content is the name and headquarters of Thoi Hoa ward.
People can add to the cell to "agree" or "disagree" with the above contents. In addition, people can make other recommendations on the arrangement of administrative units and building a two-level government.
According to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, the province is collecting opinions on the project to end district-level activities and merge commune-level areas. The consultation was held through a conference and a survey, to be completed before April 23.
After collecting opinions, the Provincial People's Council must meet before April 25, 2025 to complete the Project to submit to the Central Government.
